Rooted in Faith, Culture, and Connection

Praise Baby Co was born from a life transition and constant prayer. As a first-time mother returning to Aotearoa after being away for nearly 30 years, I found myself reflecting deeply on identity, belonging, and faith. Having grown up in New Zealand, Australia and Samoa, I feel strongly about teaching our son about his heritage, and ensuring he grows up knowing his identity is rooted in the Word of God.

We believe that children are a gift from God, and our brand exists to remind the world, and tired parents, of the incredible blessing and high calling we have been bestowed.

From Psychology to Purpose

Drawing on my professional background as a psychologist, we developed the Agaga Faa Samoa Value Cards and the Speak Life Women’s Affirmation Cards. These projects were created as a contribution to strengthening identity, and to empower individuals to make healthy choices. These projects inspired a desire to create similar resources to nurture young minds and to support parents in their role of raising emotionally intelligent and connected children who have a positive sense of self identity and worth.

Designed for Closeness

Our burden for healthy families and breaking intergenerational trauma inspired a collection of essentials beginning with the baby carrier. For us, babywearing was a massive helper; it offered the closeness our baby needed in this big new world, and the "hands-free" freedom a mother requires whilst maintaining that sacred bond. We set out to create our own after noticing a lack of Pasifika-inspired designs, and found that many carriers were limited in sizing.

Our products are inspired by our experience as first-time parents to our son; we focus on essentials for the aiga, mum and baby, as well as developing Christian faith-based, and Samoan or Pacific inspired products. Everything we create is guided by our vision to strengthen identity, nurture connection, and support growing families.
